Polish throttle body Beautification: CHRF, Polish shop, or chromed?
I've been wanting to beautify the engine compartment. I've already have the bullet valve cover package (one side) and now I'm wanting to move onto the throttle body. What's the better of the two; polish or chrome? Also, is i possible to upgrade the throttle body using the stock system? I don't want "codes" going off so I can leave it as-is, but I do want to either polish the throttle body or chrome it.
Beautification process:Objective: throw out hack job crap!
First on the list:

I hope to remove the throttle body and have it buffed and polished.

Remove stock air filter canister and use a 3.5" intake with big K&N cone fitted into the side intake. I'll have to remove it once I take the car to smog station.

I'll check with CHRF on Tuesday for options available.

I removed the Ace hardware crap and had WCF weld a ear onto the throttle bracket.

I'm going to have the throttle body polished and the bracket chromed. According to CHRF there's nothing else I can do using the stock system. Eventually I'll upgrade using the super charger, but for now I need to pass the smog reps.

Curly,
Be advised that when you move your air intake to an open filter where your current filter box is, your intake air temps will go up tremendously. I did this to see what difference it made and my temps went from about 90-100 on an 85 degree day (drawing air from the side panel) to about 140-145 on a cool track night (about 60-65 degrees) killed the performance of my car.

that shouldn't be a problem. mine was taking from an open K&N filter mounted at the stock quarter panel vent. I moved it up where the factory canister used to be and they went sky high...
